In Eggy Car, the road is not your biggest problem. The egg is. It sits loosely on top of your vehicle the entire time, and every hill feels like a disaster waiting to happen. You are not trying to finish first or beat opponents. You are just trying to stop an egg from smashing onto the ground.
The funny part is that driving slowly often works better than flooring the gas. Hit a hill too fast, and the egg starts bouncing everywhere. Sometimes it survives. Sometimes it flies off instantly and ends the run before you even realize what happened.
Still, going too slow is risky too. Certain hills need momentum, especially later when the terrain becomes steeper and more uneven. A weak climb can send the car rolling backward, usually creating another mess for the egg.
Coins scattered along the road give players something extra to chase during runs. Saving enough coins unlocks different vehicles, and they all feel slightly different to drive. Some are more stable, while others are faster but harder to control once the road gets rough.
The freeze power-up is easily one of the most useful items in the game. Locking the egg in place for a few seconds removes the stress completely, at least until the effect wears off. The magnet bonus also helps because grabbing coins becomes easier without forcing risky movements.
Eggy Car is simple, repetitive, and honestly frustrating at times. Yet it somehow becomes difficult to stop playing because every failed run feels like it could have lasted longer with one better decision.
