Trees Hate You drops you into a hike that quickly turns hostile. You play as a lone traveler trying to get home, but the forest has other plans. Trees don’t just stand there; they shoot, fall, block paths, and set traps designed to catch you off guard at the worst possible moment.
The game thrives on trickery. Safe-looking paths suddenly become hazards, and anything that feels helpful probably isn’t. Signs lie, ground collapses, and trees appear out of nowhere. You’re constantly second-guessing every move, which is exactly what the game wants.
Progress comes from mistakes. You’ll get taken out again and again, but each attempt teaches you something new. Over time, patterns start to reveal themselves, and what once felt impossible becomes manageable until the game throws something new at you.
Not all trees behave the same:
You can customize your character with different looks, making each run feel a bit more personal. Collecting hats adds a lighthearted touch, and if you’re lucky, you might find an axe, though even that doesn’t guarantee things will go your way.
This isn’t a fair fight, and it never tries to be. Trees Hate You is about persistence, sharp instincts, and learning to expect the unexpected. If you can stay patient and keep pushing forward, you might escape those damn trees.
