The music is low, the lights barely hold the room together, and across the table sits the Dealer. No introductions, no rules explained twice. Just a shotgun between you and something that doesn’t blink. Buckshot Roulette isn’t loud or flashy; it leans on tension, letting every second stretch a little too long.
At the start of each round, you’re shown what’s in play - live shells and blanks. After that, it’s all hidden. The order is mixed, the outcome unknown. From there, it’s on you to decide what kind of risk you’re willing to take.
Point the gun at the Dealer and hope it fires. Or turn it on yourself, betting that it won’t. One choice ends your turn. The other might end a lot more.
You don’t stay empty-handed for long. A few items start showing up, and each one can shift things in your favor if used at the right moment. Peek at the chamber, toss out a shell, skip the Dealer’s move, or push your damage higher when it counts.
Some tools are straightforward. Others let you twist the situation in ways that feel almost unfair until you remember the Dealer can do the same. Timing matters more than anything.
Beating the Dealer once is only the beginning. After that, the game gives you a choice: walk away with what you’ve earned, or keep going and risk losing everything. The longer you stay, the harder it gets to leave.
With more players involved, things get messier. Turns change direction, moves get blocked, and reading the room becomes just as important as reading the odds.
There’s no dramatic buildup here, no second chances dressed up as mercy. You make a call, you pull the trigger, and you deal with what comes next. That’s the whole game, and it’s more than enough.
